Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said Erling Haaland promised to win the Champions League during the pair’s first conversation following his move to the club.

Haaland joined City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022 and went on to score 52 goals in 53 appearances during his debut season in Manchester.
